Faith Cheatham is a 2022 East graduate who completed the Dual Enrollment Academy’s (DEA) Fire and EMT Program! She completed a series of unique courses including Fire 1 & 2, Hazmat, Principles of Emergency Service, Ride-Alongs, and EMT in order to receive her certification before graduation from BEHS. Faith reflected, “the dual enrollment program was awesome, you spend your whole school year with other students that have the same passion as you! It took a lot of determination and critical life thinking skills to complete the program.”
Through DEA, Cheatham was able to save not only time but thousands of dollars in tuition and fees in her certification. Faith will now be going to the 2-year Milwaukee Fire Cadet Program and going the Milwaukee Fire Department following her graduation from the program. “I pursued this path because I’m very passionate about helping others. I can’t wait to help people throughout my career!”
